Our Response

The work that is done in the community by other local non profits is outstanding. We are thankful to be a part of what they are already doing here in Evansville. In order to serve our clients better we work with several different organizations in town. Including but not limited to.

- Echo community Health Care
- Southwestern Mental Health care
- Lampion center
- The Vanderburgh county Department of Corrections
- Department and Family and children Services
- Churches Embracing Offenders (CEO)
- YWCA
- Stepping Stones
- Aurora
- Substance Abuse Council

When a woman comes to Ruth’s House our goal is not only for her to be abstinent from substance abuse, but to be truly well and whole. In order to ensure this, we look at every aspect of her life (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health). We are only able to help her with achieving wholeness because of our partnerships with local agencies.

We believe that by investing in homeless, female addicts we are investing in the longevity, success and lives of families, children and parents. We do not know a price to high when talking about giving a mother back to her child.

These are not issues that will go away if our only approach is to ignore them.
